Captioma is a local educational initiative that, since 2017, has offered activities for all audiences in fields such as computer science and digital skills in general, programming, educational robotics, design, and electronics.
"Eres STEM" 2021 is an educational scholarship program offered to promote and develop vocations in scientific and technological academic fields among female students. Thru learning in the field of extracurricular STEM education, secondary and high school students have access to learning experiences.
The initiative stems from an analysis of current statistics, which reveal a pronounced gender bias in the number of students choosing STEM fields in higher education and in the professional sphere. These figures are also present in the geographic area and environment in which our organization operates.
In a preliminary analysis that takes into account both external and internal factors, Captioma understands that a supplementary learning program aimed at female candidates in the age range when students are building and shaping their educational pathways can directly contribute to fostering potential scientific and technological vocations in our environment. Furthermore, communication and outreach activities will help foster values of equality, empowerment, and the development of female talent.
The main objective of these scholarships is an educational initiative, initially aimed at female students aged 14 to 17 in the STEM teaching project offered by Captioma in collaboration with partner organizations, which drive the design of a specific and engaging learning program that will include items taught directly or organized in collaboration with representative entities and bodies in our sector.
