Last Friday, February 19, INTERLABS was held at the CITEEC facilities. These are small meetings in which several people, in the early stages of their research careers briefly present their work in different fields related to the extra-technical areas of the CITEEC Scientific Agenda, thus promoting knowledge among the different groups and the emergence of possible interdisciplinary lines of research. The event was a great success in terms of participation and attendance.
The event was attended by Virginia Mato Abad, professor at the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Director of the Aldaba WIB Chair, who addressed the gender gap in technology careers in her presentation. Blanca Fernández presented an analysis of thermal stability for green hydrogen storage in salt caverns; Angélica Goya described the development of an innovative methodology for managing urban runoff water pollution; Noelia Fernández showed a comparative analysis for the structural optimization of different types of jackets for offshore wind power, and Lucía Valeiro spoke about microscopic simulation techniques for modeling traffic, public transport, and mobility, specifically in the case of the City Council of A Coruña.
